For their significant life-long contributions to their country, both Jean-Luc and Anne have been awarded the French Legion of Honor, France’s highest civilian award. The Colombo’s innovative approach in the northern appellation of Cornas was nothing short of revolutionary. Hermitage has an ideal left-bank site with optimal sun exposure while also being sheltered from the Mistral winds. It is a majestic wine of structure and finesse. “Le Rouet” (the name of a picturesque cove near Marseilles) is made from hand-harvested grapes from 50-year-old vines.WINEMAKING

The wine ages on the lees in the same barrel for 10 to 12 months (15% new oak and 1-to 4-year old barrels).TASTING NOTES
The wine is gold in color. Aromatic richness, finesse, and complexity of a great Hermitage with notes of candied fruit and delicate white flowers. The palate demonstrates a full-bodied wine with rich, round flavors of honey finishing with notes of soft spices and beeswax. Excellent with dishes such as lobster, shellfish and buttery sole. Pairs well with roasted poultry and salads.WINEMAKER
